In 1955 Lloyd’s Real Estate began as a small real estate firm started by Alfred Lloyd. In the 1970’s Donald Lloyd joined his father and they began performing appraisals as well as developing property and selling homes and land for individuals. Lloyd’s Real Estate remained a small family firm but always continued their loyalty and patronage to Louisa and surrounding counties. In 1999 Sherry Palmer came to Lloyd’s Real Estate. She started a property management division in 2010 which has grown into a rather large portion of Lloyd’s Real Estate and has become very prosperous and in high demand by owners and tenants. Sherry has become known for her expertise in the rental management and her “no nonsense” ways of making sure the rental business is ran properly and effectively. Sherry is also a great negotiator for sales and listings and worked with Donald in the appraisal process for over 20 years, this helps when determining sales prices of homes and negotiating deals. In 2018 Sherry received her brokers license and is now Principal Broker of Lloyds Real Estate, LLC as she has now become sole owner of the business since Donald Lloyd has retired. Donald transferred ownership to Sherry with the intentions she will continue running the company as his father did and as he did for the many years they have been in business. Sherry is PMI certified for property management.
Sherry has lived in Louisa County almost all of her life. She did move to Glen Allen for about four years, but she decided the city life was not for her. She is married to David and has two children, Brittany and Travis, who also is an agent at Lloyds. Travis is engaged to be married this year.
In 2018 Crystal decided it was time for a change. She looked long and hard to figure out what was the right career for her and after alot of soul searching Crystal decided she wanted to do something she was passionate about. She joined Lloyds Real Estate right out of real estate school and has been on a fast pace ever since. Crystal specializes in first time homebuyers being able to obtain grants and interest rate deductions for her clients. Crystal has a gift when it comes to real estate and not everyone can say that. Crystal works harder than anyone I have ever seen for her clients and if she is your agent, you will be very happy. She truly loves what she does and does a great job! Lloyd's Real Estate is proud of all the accomplishments she has made.
Crystal resides in Louisa County where she grew up and graduated high school from LCPS. She is married to James and they have two children, Lacey and Cameron. Cameron was married this year and they are now expecting a little one in the summer.
Travis has been a Realtor since 2020 and specializes in Residential and Commercial Sales, Long term and Short Term Property Management. He also is SFR certified and was born and raised in Real Estate. From the time he could talk, he was working with his mom and going on showings and listing appointments. Travis is very active with the Property Management portion of our firm. Travis has several investors whom he works with to find the deals! He loves working with home buyers to find the home of their dreams. He also has taken classes for his Appraisal license and is in the process of receiving the hours needed to proceed with getting an Associates Degree in Business.
Travis is engaged to be married to Taylor this year and we are all excited to see his new chapter in life.
